It was morning in Aryion; the golden sunlight peering over the horizon, securing a central spot amongst a cavalcade of whispy, silver-grey clouds beckoned the lioness from her fitful slumber amongst a cluster of thickets. She had been sleeping there for a few days, after a distpute with yet another Aryionian. Unwilling to accept defeat, Erosion decided to retreat to the seclusion of the borders. She would rather wait here than deal with that wretched lion again.
She woke in a state of annoyance, tail flickering as she grunted her displeasure. Erosion quickly raised her maw, the sun blazing in her cobalt blue eyes, coaxing the rest of her body out of the uncomfortable resting spot that scarred her hide with itching sores after constant figiting in her sleep. Erosion eventually dragged her forelegs upwards, her back sloping as she did so. Sighing once again, she struggled upwards; eventually, her great bulk defied the force of gravity and her rump was thrust level with her mightly shoulders.
The gritty-silver patched lioness, now standing square, gazed onto the horizon. The brilliant yellows, radiant crimsons, ochres, scarlets and oranges intermingled together; it was all so ... wholesome. Almost annoyingly so. The sun never failed to rise, or rose to early or to late ... Always on time.
Erosion sighed. This was a scene that she had witnessed so many times before, yet it remained the same. All her life she had lived here (or somewhere in fairly close proximity) and nothing had changed in that year and a half. The weather patterns remained virtually identical with every passing year, the prey's abundance remained level, and the members numbers fluctuated only slightly.
Nothing was different.
A sharp growl errupted from Erosion's throat, voicing her discontent into the unknown. She was well aware that no-one was around to listen, but nether the less her fury overcame any impulse to restrain herself.
Erosion picked up a lumbering trot, heavy mass trudging forewards; she was sure now that better thing lie ahead of her. Maybe the chance to meet somebody; somebody different for a change! That would be adequate enough. Still, conversation was the last thing on her mind. At the moment, Erosion was intent purely upon apprehending the lion with whom she had argued. She would show him what for!
Her pace quickened as annoyance flooded through her body, boiling her blood and igniting her intent to maim even further. Erosion emited a low grunt as she stumbled, quickly regaining herself, eyes flickering from side to side to ensure that no-one around might have witnessed her mistake. The tri-coloured lioness jolted her head around as an unfamiliar scent wafted past her nostrils.
"Oi, Aryion. Come get me!" she yelled in dismay. Now her aggravation had taken hold, and she was ready and waiting for whatever poor sucker might stumble upon her now.
Erosion shifted her paws in anquish, awaiting the arrival of whatever creature might pass through her space next. She was in no mood for companionship, but the arrival of someone would at least allow her to vent her frustration.
But for now, all she could do was watch and wait.

Light tan paws slipped over the hard plains in a brisk prance, every so often they stopped and a pink nose went to the ground to investigate a bug or a hole in the ground. The plains were rather bare, but that didn't stop the young lion hybrid from making the most of his youth.
It had been a few months since his brother had brought him to Aryion, and thus far neither had seen many around since the fire. Kafele shivered a little thinking of that awful day, and hoped he would never see another like it.
He crouched suddenly and growled, knitting his eyebrows with concentration, his back end wriggled as he positioned himself for a pounce. With a squeal that that was meant to be a roar he leaped through the air, and landed on a stick. With another play growl he grabbed it and ran a few feet before tossing it in the air. When it landed he batted it a few times with his paws before deciding that immobile objects weren't so much fun.
He was about to bounce away again when he heard an odd sound, he wasn't sure what it sounded like for sure.. Heavy foot steps? His ears pricked forward and he lifted a paw, only to set it right back down again. His brother had told him not to talk to strangers. And Afua was no where to be seen.. Kafele had left him dozing in the shade of a tree, of which said tree Kafele could no longer see when lifting his head over the grasses.
"Idiot!" He thought to himself as he tried to make himself small in the grass, he he had been so busy trying to entertain himself he had wandered further away then he had intended, and just the thought of being alone was frightening, let alone what ever it was that he may or may not have just heard.
"Oi, Aryion. Come get me!"
He gasped, that was a lot closer and a lot louder then he had expected. His heart began to beat quickly and he felt he was shaking so hard his stripes would fall off, the voice didn't sound friendly. Oh why!? Why hadn't he stuck closer to Afua!?
-----
Deep green eyes scanned the horizon, the brown lion's features were pulled into a worried scowl, he'd told Kafele not to go to far, but alas, what was the point of saying anything to a cub, in the end the responsibility always fell to him. And now he had to go track down his little brother, whom was unmistakably lost by now in these plains.
He was able to follow by scent somewhat, but he didn't have the keenest sense of smell, being a lion, he wasn't the best of trackers. After awhile though he got the feeling he was getting closer. He lifted his head again to scan the horizon, hoping he'd see Kafele frolicking, but instead he saw another lion, she looked moody, no she looked ticked off, and she looked as if she wanted scrap.
A low growl rumbled through Afua's throat and he took off suddenly, not sure exactly where Kafele was but that he was close, and that he wanted to be near that lioness should she find him. He wasn't so sure that she would attack a cub, but Afua was one that didn't take chances.
"Oi, Aryion. Come get me!"
He slowed to a trot as soon as he came near and stopped a few meters away, not looking at the lioness with hostility, but not appearing friendly to the lioness who didn't look like she was in the mood for new friends.
He stood tensed, not sure what she would do, but he was ready for the younger and fairly smaller lioness, whatever she may do. He said nothing, but kept his eyes on her, waiting for her re-action.

{OOC:// Lol, keep it up *waves rank in front of Tolf*}
Erosion stared once again into the blinding sunlight; the glistening golden orb had moved slightly, only inches away from the spot in which it was placed a moment earlier. Basically the same; as usual. She looked round, infuriated. With the realisation that her shadow had grown with the suns change of place, Erosion proceeded to shuffle forowards, moulding the dark silhouette back into it's original form.
Her eyes turned to the grassland. Yellow. Fluctuating. Breezy. Boring.
The tri-coloured lioness grumbled, fury ingniting her annoyance even further. Why wouold no-one come? Why would this land not change? Would nothing interesting ever come about from this place. Probably the most interesting thing of all that had happened recently was the fire; and that wasn;t good. It had destroyed the land and wiped out half the prey and more than likely one or two Aryionians...and that meant less chew toys for the boisterous female to apprehend.
Once again, Erosion swerved her neck back to the grasslands. This time it was not the same; two forms were approaching, one body far dwarfing the other. A cub perhaps? And a male.
"Oooo, fresh meat" Erosion sneared. She picked up a lumbering trot as she had before, her massive bulk preventing her froom gaining speed; that gave her adversary and advantage. They could flee, and she had no little to no chance of catching them. Though Erosion wouldn't admitt it, half of her bulk consisted of excess fat, orginiating from her sloth or lack of activity.
Erosion gave a delighted snicker as she leared towards the pair. She had travelled only a few feet before they came into full view. The first was male, with a ginger mane and a dull brown hide; darker stripes blanketed his back, and a lighter underside that contrasted with the rest of his coat. His eyes were the colour of ripe apples. The second, a little scamp, was beige in colour with lighter cream stripes and a mane the same shade as the larger male. These would be easy prey!
Erosion trotted in their direction, holding her head high like she owned the place. As she reached the pair, the lioness slowed, a confident smile on her lips. Stopping, she realised that two emerald orbs were gazing into hers. Undettered she paced a step forwards, and smirked at the puny cub.
"Small aint ya?" she joked. "Just...bitesized" Erosion scoffed, turning her head towards the male who guarded him. Though he was obviously much larger in stature, Erosion was not intimidated in the slightest.
"Who are you then?" she asked belligerantly, taking a more serious tone of voice but nether the less making little attempt at sounding remotely social. Her hackles were raised, and her tail flickered tensely from left to right, batting the air furiously. Perhaps the male would pick up on this and leave; but the longer he stayed, the longer she had to tear into him. Erosion exhaled sharply through her nostrils before averting her gaze towards the youngster.
"Meat, ya not talkin' then" she remarked sarcastically, learing over the cream coloured cub.

Afua was grateful when Kafele came into view, but he held a firm scowl over his features. Kafele's ears flattened as he looked up at his brother meekly. "I'm sorry Afua." He said before slinking behind his older brothers legs for protection as the lioness came uncomfortably close.
"You should be." Afua replied hastily before taking a step forward to meet the lioness. She looked anything but friendly, in fact she looked like a moron. Waltzing in front of Afua threateningly when he was two hundred percent sure that he could be the stuffing out of the sluggish over weight teen.
"Small aint ya? Just...bitesized"
Kafele flattened his ears and ducked behind Afua, only letting his eyes peep out to watch the scary lioness. Afua did his best to now growl at the comment but his ears flattened and looked at her with a mixed expression of annoyance and surprise that she would dare act high and mighty in front of some one that was much bigger and undoubtedly stronger.
"Who are you then?"
Afua didn't reply for a moment, trying to decide if it would be better to just walk away from the ignorant brat. He lifted his head, just a little proud.
Kafele stared at the haughty lioness but couldn't find any words, and frankly, didn't think conversation with her could be pleasant no matter how he tried. So he stayed behind Afua and watch with ears folded back.
"Meat, ya not talkin' then"
Afua curled his lip but held back the growl that wanted out so bad and stepped forward. "I am Afua, and this is my brother Kafele." He wasn't hostile about it but he wasn't at all friendly as he might have been would she have showed any courtesy what so ever. "Who are you." He shot back, annoyance with the lioness was growing for as long as he stayed.
He wasn't trying to provoke a fight, but if she started it he'd finish it with pleasure, what this girl needed was a beating within an inch of her life.

Erosion was startled as the larger male scuttled up to her. So far she had needed to call her reprimands to him, seeing as he was only just in earshot; now she could confront him face on. Oh the fun of it all.
Ever since she could remember Erosion maintained a dislike for the youngster of the pride; as a juvenile she was recknowned as a bully, a true statement nonetheless, but her excuse was partially valid to an extent. She hated the constant pestering and aggravation that cubs entailed; they were like a magnet to her!
Erosion stared as the fully-grown male came into her sights. He was far larger than the cub, and looked a heck of a lot stronger too; his body was lithe yet powerful, and the amber locks of his mane danced in the wind as it howled past the trio. The light-coloured youngster appeared assured by his presence, yet cowered simultaneously between the legs of the comparatively gigantic feline.
"I'm sorry Afua." he whimpered, voice anquished.
"You should be." the larger lion, apparently named Afua, replied.
Erosion chuckled rudely at his annoyance with his sibling, tossing her head upwards in a frantic display of arrogance. She spluttered for a minute or two, before some vague sense of composure and self-pride prevented her from continuing.
Turning towards Kafele, the young cream male, Erosion remarked "In trouble are we?", thingying her head to the side as she did so. Erosion gave a brisk snort before the lion interupted her following ridicule of the meek youngster.
"I am Afua, and this is my brother Kafele." the larger lion claimed, a snarl beginning to form upon two mahogany lips. He soon regained himself and repealed his past action.
"Oh, so you are talkin' then meat" she snorted tenaciously.
"Who are you." Afua asked, appearing rather calm, unlike many she had previosuly taunted; his lack of anger annoyed her slightly, but she would not show her aggrivation at that fact.
Eyeing them suspiciously, Erosion exclaimed "What's it to you!"
Saying no more, Erosion turned and trotted in the other direction, swatting her tail towards Kafele's brown face. She held it high as she loped away a few feet, determined that her obstinance would somehow aggravate the pair even further. She stood still, tail high, head held proudly for but a moment or two before facing the pair a second time.
"Erosion, if it means that much to you" she roared aggravatedly.

Afua held his head high and never took his eyes off the lioness. Her attitude aggravated him a lot, but he found he was able to suppress all growls and most dirty looks as she flaunted herself before them.
"In trouble are we?"
Kafele continued to hide behind Afua's legs but when spoken to his ears lifted for a split second before he realized she wasn't exactly trying to be friendly and they instantly flattened again and he stared wide eyed. He wasn't afraid of her anymore, not with Afua standing between them, but he made a silent note that he probably did not ever want to meet up with her again, and especially not alone.
Afua was mildly shocked and his lip nearly curled again, her rudeness was almost over whelming and a 'how dare you' look crossed over his face as soon as she spoke to his younger brother.
Despite it all he surprised himself by managing to remain civil, and was again surprised and annoyed by her rudeness when she boldly threw out,
"What's it to you!"
The fact was it was nothing to him, he had only returned the question she had given to him, though returned it in an annoyed way. He didn't actually care about her either way, he was being civil merely to show himself that he wasn't subject to the incivilities of a bratty little lioness.
Afua took a hasty a step forward and a growl finally rumbled from his throat as the lioness flicked Kafele with the end of her tail as she turned away. He quickly checked himself and didn't move forward again but he stood and openly glared at her now that she had her back turned on them.
She seemed to be trying very hard to get Afua angry, he continued to be baffled and annoyed, did she WANT to get hurt? Was she stupid enough to think that she could fight him off if he really decided to attack her?
He saw her face them again and his ears flattened and his head lowered just a little, only to be lifted up proudly again, he wouldn't let this brat get underneath his skin. He was better then that.
"Erosion, if it means that much to you"
His tail flicked from side to side in annoyance and he thought for just a moment, that if she had been his sister, if she had been any kind of relation to him, and shown him that kind of disrespect he would have wailed the living daylights out of her. But thankfully, she was not a relation, and with a simple grunt he turned away from her, tilting his head just enough to look back at her before saying.
"Well Erosion, have a nice day."
He turned his eyes ahead of him, still holding his head proudly and walked away, Kafele leaping a few feet in front of him, wanting to put as much distance between him and the lioness, all the while thinking that if it hadn't been for Afua, she might have been a lot more hostile then she had been.

Erosion remained still, eyes locked upon the pair; she had not anticipated anyone coming around about now, and even when one did it turned out the be that single person who just could not be annoyed! Typical; it was just her luck wasn't it?
Erosion huffed to herself angrily, ears back and shoulders hunched arrogantly. Her pose conveyed her utter dismay and disregard for the cub and his defender. If only Afua hadn't been there; she could have had so much fun with this choice candidate, since he'd have no option but to submit to the adult lioness (amusing that he did repect his elders like he should). But either way, he would spoil her fun entirely.
Erosion could sense the slightest aggrivation gripping Afua, who was now her intended target. Kafele provoked her no further, but his obstinance in the face of her taunting angered Erosion more than she could express in words or actions. Afua shouldered her momentarily before turning away, head angled slightly.
"Well Erosion, have a nice day." Afua declared, demeanour calm to the point that it irritated her.
The rage burned in her eyes like wildfire as she could no longer stand to contain the escalating anger that built up inside her. Erosion's anger had hit red-zone, and any in her way better watch themselves, for like the fury ravages the Blackblood, so did this inept annoyance ravage Erosion too. It came to be expected by all who knew her, since her regal heritage permitted it; but now she would have to accustom herself the the common life, where she would not be granted the privilages of preceeding fellow lioness' at the kill site. This right was reserved for the huntress' and the don, but since at present the latter position was not filled; that left only the Femme fatals to endure her obstinance.
Lashing forwards, not aiming to strike but merely to deter, Erosion screached "Who'd you think ya talking too you scrawny hunk a' lard? Why, I bet ya couldn't even catch your own tail if ya tried!".
Though her disposition was a characteristic that one would gradulally become accustomed too, it seemed to have escalated beyond the normal boundaries of "temperamental" in recent months. Little to her knowledge, nor to anyone else's, the silver lioness had fallen pregnant. Hormones coursing through her body at lightening speed did not aid her in a pursuit of serenity, if anything they enhanced it.
Erosion bounded over to Afua, trudging to a halt opposite the mahogany lion. She was not at all pleased at this point, and if he should not react sharply it was likely that his face would endure a harsh, mercilless assault.
"You think your so much greater than everyone else don't ya?". She paused. "Go on admit it! Ya think yar all high and mighty just because your a guy.". Huffing Erosion exclaimed "Well ya not!". Her body tensed in anguish, both out of fear of his reaction and of anticipation of the brawl that she hoped would follow her blatent provokation.
"I was royalty once, so go on, beat that wise guy". Erosion could find little else to dwell on, so persisted in aggravating Afua, hoping that he would blow his top...and when he did, well he'd be as good as dead.
Erosion had a talent for bith manipulating and goading others, and now was a prime example.

Afua's ears were pinned back and he scowled angrily ahead of him, taking each step deliberately, it was hard for him to simply walk away from her, to not get into a fight he was sure he could win, but whether he could win or not wasn't what bothered him. He didn't know how the rest of the pride would treat him for fighting with bratty little teenagers, even if he had a good excuse, they probably wouldn't care.
If it was only himself he worried about Afua wouldn't have controlled himself, but he couldn't possibly endanger Kafele by getting into pointless fights with stupid, arrogant, provocative.. He shook his head and a quite snarl hissed through his teeth when he heard Erosion turn back to him again.
"Who'd you think ya talking too you scrawny hunk a' lard? Why, I bet ya couldn't even catch your own tail if ya tried!"
He wouldn't have even acknowledged her again if she hadn't bounded back towards him, but when she did Afua turned swiftly, a loud warning growl not quite loud enough to be considered a roar erupting from his throat, a warning for her not to come any closer, it was all he could do to not spring at her right then, one could only provoke a young male lion so far before his anger over came his logic, even though Afua had a very large amount of patience compared to others his age.
"You think your so much greater than everyone else don't ya?"
She paused, Afua only glared, a low rumble in his throat holding his warning, his claws were tensed into the dirt beneath him, his feeble attempt to keep them to himself as he readied his body to counter an attack from her, setting his mind fiercely on the fact that he would NOT let this brat provoke him into attacking her.
"Go on admit it! Ya think yar all high and mighty just because your a guy."
"Well ya not!"
His eyes were narrowed angrily as he watched her take on a stance similar like himself, his muscles tensed but he held his ground.
"I was royalty once, so go on, beat that wise guy."
He bared his teeth and snarled again, only to clench them tightly together again, his lips curled into a silent snarl, he wasn't sure what the hell was up with this brat but she was really asking for trouble. His tail flicked from side to side in aggravation but he thought maybe the best way to get back at her would be to not give her what she wanted, difficult as that was.
"I don't have to beat that," Afua snapped angrily, I know better then that. He added silently. "I don't have to admit anything to a selfish spoiled brat that can't find anything better to do then provoke fights she can't win." He snarled, he hadn't intended on provoking her, but he realized that his words had a good chance of pissing her off and he was prepared to counter her attack if she was stupid enough to attack him.

As Erosion landed in front of him, the bulky males whipped around, anger rising perhaps in a way that conveyed defense more than aggression. A command not to advance any further; like she would heed this warning! He seemed intent on protecting his little brother, which gave her the chance to manipulate that even further. Perhaps she could taunt the miniscule pest, ridiculing him in some fashion.
But she wouldn't attempt to attack just yet. She felt no need to do so; he was wriled up enough for her satisfaction as it was. That, and her anger had already been vented in her reprimands (which she was sure would aggrivate him). She smirked indulgently.
Glazing proudly at the cream male that was tucked beneath the grown males paws, Erosion felt awed, yet it was a sickening amazement. For beneath her cold, smug exterior a secret lurked that only she was aware of; that the cubs of a nomadic male stirred in her belly. Only recently did Erosion realize the situation, after fidgeting movements appeared in the pit of her stomach. She first likened it to indegestion, but that idea was soon disbanded after they persisted for days at a time. Though fairly large in stature as it was, her size had noticably increased over a period of about a month.
They must be due sometime soon.
Despite her distain and lack of rationality, Erosion could not help but feel impressed by his patience and utter disregard for her taunting. Yet on the other hand, she hated him for it. But now, ever so slowly, she was breaking him down...
His lips raised, revealing ivory fangs that glistened like knives in the morning sunlight. His tail swatted vehemently, eyes focused directly on his target; her.
"I don't have to beat that," Afua scorned, quite literally at the end of his teather. "I don't have to admit anything to a selfish spoiled brat that can't find anything better to do then provoke fights she can't win." Finally, she had achieved what she had first intended to do; break the unbreakable.
Almost flirtatiously she strutted forwards, satisfyed at her achievement. The anger had swiftly faded, as it tended to do; some might call it a condition, most however would accosiate it with her age and her general ignorance and lack of morals.
"See, I knew it" she began hastily, eyes flickering with an inate desire to lunge a Afua, her drive to aggrivate him more overpowering still. "Ya can't beat that can ya? Cos I am royalty, and whata you got?".
She snarled insincerely. "You ain't got nothing but a snotty brat of a brother and some rank or another." She had dived straight into the deep end, without arm bands...
The prospect that Afua would attack seemed bleak, if not impossible, but the lioness was prepared if he did. Perhaps...

Erosion's smug look sent a new ripple of annoyance through his veins and he felt a strong urge to strike at something, preferably her, with his large paws. He merely glared at her with disdain, if she weren't so pushy he wouldn't even bother. 'The things I do for this kid..' He thought, still glaring into Erosion's eyes anytime she would look into them.
Afua's patience was indeed uncanny, Kafele had been born before Afua was old enough to be ran off by his mother, and then she had died, leaving Kafele young and forcing him into a diet of solids a little too early for normal. Afua had felt the weight heavy on his shoulders, not being able to abandon his brother, and thus, was well practiced in the art of patience as he began to mature into what would have other wise been, the average hot headed young lion.
Afua lifted his head slightly, a look of disgust mixing with the disdain as she strutted towards him, the mood swing left him feeling paranoid on a few different levels, and he felt the hairs on the back of his neck tingle in.. Was it fear? He resisted shaking his head away and refused to let a look of confusion mingle with his expressions.
[Lmao, Afua got his first girl scare XD]
"See, I knew it"
He was leaning his head away from her and an inaudible snarl pulled at his lips again.
"Ya can't beat that can ya? Cos I am royalty, and whata you got?"
"You ain't got nothing but a snotty brat of a brother and some rank or another."
Afua snorted, she was just searching for ways to annoy him, one thing after another, she was almost getting desperate now. He would have smirked if he hadn't been glaring so violently in attempts to keep her wary of him.
"I have dignity, a quality you seem to lack." He said in disgust, as if saying it were hardly worth his time. "I have enough common sense to not get involved with little brats like you."
He back away a step and slowly began to turn, still glaring at her but a little more calmly now. "As I said before, have a nice day." His tone was cold, the words sounded more like a warning then a goodbye.
He walked away towards the side in order to keep an eye on her for a brief moment, not trusting that she wouldn't attack him from behind. He couldn't stay there any longer though, either she was going to let them walk away or she would attack him, giving him every right, royalty or not, to thrash the daylights out of her. The Aryion pride couldn't possibly have laws against defending yourself from anyone, royalty or not.
As soon as he couldn't see her anymore he looked down at Kafele who looked rather guilty already and scowled, not particularly at him but at the annoyance he had brought around. His ears were twitched back, listening for sounds of the lioness to get an idea of whether she would follow or not. The thought made him scowl again but he was looking ahead this time, he needed a few quite moments, he needed shade and silence and time to let the irritation work its self out of his mind.

Afua's stare still did not lessen in intensity as his two emerald rues bore deep into her, wearing her down likek she was so used to doing to her subjects. It was strange for her to have encountered someone so unflustered by her tendencies, considering that today of all days Erosion could be described as particularly nasty.
Afua raised his head a little upon her approach, as is signifying some false sense of dominance he wished he had over her. He didn't have nothing and she knew it. Well, what he might have considered something significant she saw as hardly worth the time; children. Oh she loathed them, almost with a passion ... yet she would soon bare her own. What a concept that was.
A sly smirk, mingled with a contorted yet childish expression, crossed her lips as Afua replied. "I have dignity, a quality you seem to lack." the lion claimed rather half-heartedly, as if not even bothing to put the effort into conversing with her. Who did he think he was talking to her like that? She had more dignity in one paw than the babysitter did in his entire body; yet he was calling her undignified! Pft.
"I have enough common sense to not get involved with little brats like you." Whoah, now he'd done it. Who did he think he was playing at? She was royalty, and he was just a petty babysitter. He had nothing over her.
He turned away in a manner Erosion percieved as smuggly, backing away and pirouetting round rather cooly. His stocky physique leared round to face her once again, the rage in his eyes slowly dying down into nothingness. But her rage had now reached boiling point.
As I said before, have a nice day." Afua said.
"I will" she huffed childishly, eyes narrowed to petite aqua slits which radiated with a burning hatred. For a moment they almost disappeared beneath a blanket of two slanted eyebrows.
Afua headed off in the other direction, until almost out of sight. His demanour, though not entirely tense, displayed the faintest trace of aggrivation bought on by her tauntings. At least if he were to get the last word, she'd have achieved something ... but then again, what chance did he had of getting a word in edgeways?
Snorting reprovingly, nostrils flaring with persistant angst so typical of her, Erosion roared at Afua. "Go on, run you coward! Run away with your tail between your legs!". She lowered her medium tan neck, as if stalking some enigmatic prey that lie ahead of her. Erosion's lips rose in a faint snarl as she exclaimed "Not gonna fight like a REAL man are you!?". Pause. "Didn't think so" she continued, even if her intended to giving Afua no time to reply. A sly grin licked her maw. "Are you afraid of a female like me?". That was sure to insult him, and if it didn't, well; there were plenty of other fish in the sea.
Tail raised, Erosion stood firm, not approaching nor moving away. Now it was time for the hunter to observe the movements of her prey, to calculate its next move. To stalk it.

"I will" The lioness huffed in another attempt to get him to react, but Afua wouldn't fall for it, he didn't want to hear or say another word.
After he had turned his back Afua found himself walking faster with every step, barely keeping himself from breaking out in a run out respect of his little brothers much shorter legs. Who did that brat think she was? Getting in his face and insulting him and his brother? He snarled finally, now that he was getting out of ear shot of her.
Kafele was silent as he bounded through the grass to keep up, some what terrified of being left behind with that scary lioness nearby, he was so caught up in keeping up he didn't have the breathe to flood Afua with questions and opinions
"Go on, run you coward! Run away with your tail between your legs!"
Kafele jumped at the sound of her angry voice and Afua merely cringed and clenched his teeth together, fighting to not look back at her.
"Not gonna fight like a REAL man are you!?"
His steps faltered only slightly but he kept moving forward, at a slightly slower pace.
"Didn't think so"
He snarled to himself again, ohh how he wanted to teach her a lesson, a lesson she would never forget. But he determinedly kept his back to her, moving his paws forward.
"Afua!" Kafele hissed at him. "You can't jus--"
"Shut up Kafele." Afua snapped, with a growl.
"But she called you a coward!" Kafele protested angrily, stopping with his head held high, digging his claws into the ground to give the impression that he wouldn't budge.
"I said shut up!" Afua snarled again, turning slightly to glare at his brother. "You don't understand anything, if you think it's so awful YOU can fight her." He turned again to walk away, at a more normal pace this time.
"Are you afraid of a female like me?"
Afua clenched his teeth and narrowed his eyes at the scenery ahead of him, but other wise ignored her, "Afua.." Kafele said, following Afua again, still angry but some what pleading this time, her insults had offended him far more then they had the person she intended them for.
Afua was determined, he wouldn't let her get to him.

"Afua!" the cub demanded "You can't jus--"
What was he up to? Was he prompting him to attack? Would she finally get some fighting action from this whole situation? Erosion growled lightly, almost softly, as if humming to herself. All she could do was provoke him more, and hopefully her efforts would pay off and he would, as they said, reach the end of his aggravatingly extensive teather.
"Shut up Kafele." Afua snapped, silencing him adruptly.
She snicked, half subconsiously in delight. She was wearing him down ...
"Keep yer trap shut runt" Erosion commanded, teeth bared intimidatingly at the belligerant youngster, hoping that would trigger some paternal reaction in Afua that might lead to conflict, or at least annoy him a little more. She didn't mean what she said. If anything she hoped the cub would continue to prod his sibling, to keep goading him into an ever-escalating rage.
"But she called you a coward!" he protested hot-headedly, bearing himself proudly with a sense of obstinance about him. His claws raked the earth at his feet as he attempted to get his point across.
Was he about to throw a tantrum!? Pfft. Kids; she couldn't stand them. They aggravated her so much. Normally Erosion would have immediately scolded the youngster, but in this context it worked to her advantage.
He was a perfect pawn in her little game ...
"He's right, Afua" Erosion remarked. "If you weren't a coward you'd have the guts to face me."
"I said shut up!" Afua snarled again, a piercing stare penetrating his brothers meek frame. "You don't understand anything, if you think it's so awful YOU can fight her." he shouted reprovingly. He wasn't making him look good was he? Afua strove to do anything and everything in his power to resist her prompts, and his brother only fuelled his frustration and encouraged him to do the very thing he aspired not to do.
Afua turned enthusiastically away, ambling if anything casually into the distant savannah.
"Afua.." Kafele begged, a mix of emotions intermingled in his tone.
Erosion stayed put this time; she wouldn't acknowledge him to much as to follow. She flinched momentarily, bitter at her abandonment but determined to get the last word in the conversation.
She paced forewards, claws unsheathed, prepared. "Oi, come back" she ordered. Following a deep inhale the lioness bellowed "The cub's right. Ya're are coward!" Her nose wrinkled as she trudged a pace or two forewards, ears pricked, just waiting for a reaction...

Afua could feel Erosion eagerly prodding for a reaction out of him, as if she had nothin better to do then prove he couldn't with stand her ridiculous attempts to start a fight. That thought only made him set his jaw, more determined to ignore her completely.
"Oi, come back"
Afua flattened his ears against his head, as if attempting to block her words out. His back was already turned, all he had to do was keep on walking.
"The cub's right. Ya're are coward!"
Coward. Ha! It wasn't cowardice that kept him away from Erosion. She was younger, smaller, and unfit, he never saw her as a dangerous threat, only an annoying one. The worst she could do was make him lose his temper, and well, he hadn't. She had tried, tried hard. But she had failed, that was satisfaction enough for Afua. He didn't need to prove anything to any one, not to himself and not to Kafele, the cub would get over it, maybe in time he'd even understand it.
Kafele glanced angrily at Erosion, only to feel a chill run down his spine as the lioness watched them, anticipating something... He turned away with a snarl and tried to stalk away behind Afua but it was more of a series of prancing and lagging as he tried keep up.
He had plenty of things he wanted to say to his brother but he clenched his teeth and kept his thoughts to himself. Sometime Afua didn't care what he had to say, and this was one of those times.
As Afua stalked away he could feel the heat leveling out of his head, partially replaced by triumph. He had won his battle.
